In this popular series of garden statuary, talented artist Klaus Kinast has carefully sculpted hummingbird themed ‘bas-relief’ (low relief) onto the surface of each piece. Hummingbirds are among the smallest of birds, hovering in mid-air seemingly motionless by beating their wings up to 90 times a second. Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards.
